[SOLVED] IE7 occasionally freezes (temp. & perm.)

Hello,

I've recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro x64 EN SP2 after using Vista Ultimate for a while. For some reason, IE7 occasionally freezes, as if there are not enough resources available. However, this happens on perfectly normal websites (e.g. plain text), and the rest of my software runs smoothly. Also, my G15 display shows that at the time my resources are at a reasonable low usage level, so that can't be it, I'd think.

I've installed the latest and the correct drivers for all my hardware and I've installed all recommended and most optional updates from Microsoft.

My system information:
OS: Microsoft WindowS XP Professional x64 Edition, Version 2003, SP2
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+, 3.02GHz
RAM: 3x OCZ 2GB @ 800MHz (don't know exact type)
MBo: Asus M2N 560 SLI
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD4850

I've also attached my DxDiag file, if you need in-depth information.

Internet Explorer Version: 7.0.5730.13

I should note that I only use the 32-bit version of IE7, since some sites don't support the 64-bit one, like the Windows Update website.

Thanks in advance for your help, and if there's any need for additional information, please ask.

EDIT: In case you wonder about the attachments, I saw a button that said "Run 64-bit DxDiag", so I thought, why not?

Re: IE7 occasionally freezes (temp. & perm.)

It appears to be completely random, it froze up just now loading this website. Sometimes it continues after a while, sometimes I have to close it with Task Manager.

Check the bios also and tell us what the temps and voltages are.

I've tried your suggestion, Go The Power, and it hasn't happened since. If it was the solution, thank you very much!
