Site access problem with IE 8 Beta

Trying to get on to TaxActOnline to start my taxes. Sign in ok then get message that I must have cookies enabled. I do and I have checked every way that you can allow or block cookies for a site through "Internet Options." Every time I come up with same message that I have to have cookies enabled. When I chose to continue pass this message I get the following message: "Directory Listing Denied. This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed." Last year all worked well with this site. DIFFERENCE THIS YEAR: I have IE 8 Beta instead of IE 7 and SP 3. Could any of these be the problem? If so, it will be the first problem I've had with either. XP Home SP3 IE 8 Beta. Thanks, Phil

Learned more..... Tried to use site on my wife's laptop and all is normal. She has XP Home SP 3 IE 6. So, is it an IE 7 or IE 8 problem or something else? I don't understand all I understand about this all! Phil

Open up Internet Explore, click Tools, Internet Options, click on the tab Security and underneath 'Security Level for this Zone' put it on Medium.
Then click on the tab Privacy and under 'settings' put it on Medium. Click Apply then Ok.

Do you have these problems in any other browsers? Please try one of the below (both are free):

Re: Site access problem with IE 8 Beta

Dai, Go The Power, thanks for reply. As surprised as I was that this problem occurred, I was equally surprised that the problem cleared itself up! I didn't do anything. Now working ok. Happy to see, and appreciate, response to my issue. Thanks much.....Phil

PS IE 8 still working great. No crashes, no problems. Fast, responsive, and stable.
