Browser detection
I'm having problems with some sites (like Yahoo) thinking that I am not running IE. My machine: XP SP2, IE 6.0 with latest updates. I used to run both IE and Firefox, but I've since removed Firefox.
Somewhere along the way, something got changed so that sites do not detect that I am running IE. For example, Yahoo thinks I'm running Netscape. It is driving me crazy. I've looked up solutions such as the browscap.ini file, and the UserAgent setting in the Registry, but no luck. Can anyone provide some insight on how a site like Yahoo might determine what browser I'm running, and what I could possibly tweak to fix this? |
