Internet Explorer 6 send page by email can't use outlook express

hi, I;m new here.

when i try and send a page via email using IE 6 I get dialogue box for Microsoft Outlook but I want to use outlook express. I have OE set up as default mail but can't work out how have IE use Outlook express

With IE 6 open go to the tools, then internet options, then programs, the bottom says internet programs, choose set programs, default programs opens and a pop up asks if you give permission. the last option is set program options and computer defaults, the last option is custom and the drop down arrows are on the right. the drop down and the middle option allows you to set a default email. i selected windows mail which seems to have replaced outlook and works the same way, i dont know if its a n upgrade.
