Can't get on the internet

Hey,
A few days ago i got the trojan horse virus

and by pure luck (i believe) after running avg a few times i managed to get rid of every virus that it said was on my computer and now the avg scan shows up with no virus's. So anyway today when i come to use the internet i notice that it brings up page cannot be displayed and at the bottom where it would usually say loading site:... it now says c:\window\system32\xpsp3res.dll/dns error.htm yet everything else on the computer is fine and when looking for this folder it doesn't seem to be where it says it is. Can anyone help me out?

that trojan prob. ate it download windows Service pack 3 to a flash drive or cd
uninstall SP 3 from the machine in question and reinstall, cross your fingers and 'poof'
