Gmail sending SPAM to all my contacts

I have a problem where an automated mail is sent from a third party software (SPAM) that goes to all my contacts in my address book.

What should I do?

I want to stop this program from sending automated messages. This is from a website Desktop Dating. It keeps sending a message that Did you receive my Invite to all my contacts.

How do I ensure that these mails do not go out.

Wish I knew-the same exact thing has happened to my hotmail account and has sent this "invite" to my contacts on my hotmail account! I am very angry about this and when I tried contacting all of my contacts to let them know not to open the email invite to desktop dating that was supposedly from me, microsoft sent me a message saying I exceeded my 300 email messages a day so my email account is now suspended for 24 hours!!That is ridiculous because as now 374 other contacts on my list will not get the warning message about not opening up the desktop dating invite and thus their contact lists will probably be hijacked too because I can't warn them in time about this bogus email message. Let me know if someone tells you what to do--wish we could sue all these jerks for the problems they have caused us by their scams.
