Re: No Sound in IE
That was one of the problems i had, but also the below was the other fix
was thanks to the tech staff at Geekstogo.com code name "The Skeptic" Alright the problem is really the mapping of wavemapper in Windows registry as reported by one member of the forum. All you need to do is to open registry editor by going to Start menu, Run, typing regedit and then Enter. After that, in the registry editor, walk yourself through the tree in the left pane, till you reach My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32 And then on the right pane, right click and click on New, select String value, enter "wavemapper" (without quots of course), ENTER, 2x click wavemapper and type "msacm32.drv" in value data, ENTER. |

Re: [SOLVED] No Sound in IE
I didn't want to start a new thread becuase I am having the exact same problem as the OP in this thread. I checked my registry and it already had the mapping entry so what is next? I still have no sound in any browser though sound works fine for everything else.

Re: [SOLVED] No Sound in IE
I have the same problem. MP works and Games work, but nothing online and there don't seem to be startup or shutdown sounds.
Done a few things String value from above is present Checked connections Updated the drivers Problem exists on both IE and Firefox |
