Aim
Hi, I've got a problem with aim, and it is pretty annoying.
I've downloaded and installed the latest version of aim, but it just doesn't work. Nothing, not even an error message opens up when I click on the icon. It says aim is running in the task manager. I've tried unistalling and then installing it again, but it didn't change. The old version, Aim4.8 works properly. I use Windows XP Professional. Can someone help me out?? |

I helped the forums.

When you press Alt + Tab do you see it? Does it appear in your notification area? or is it only visible by viewing the processes? I just upgraded mine on XP Home to see if I would have a similar prob, but it works fine... I had to download it twice though because it gave me error messages of a faulty install.

Nothing comes up when I push alt+tab. aim.exe appears in the processes list. Also, I'm sorry I forgot to mention this, but for the first several days, the new version aim worked perfectly. Then one day, when i clicked on the icon, i got no response. I don't recall doing anything that might prevent aim from working.
