Internet Explorer Swithces to Firefox

Hello when ever i try to open a new page or a link in IE 7 it automatically opens mozilla firefox and adds a new tab that contains the internet page im trying to go to which is a real pain because some downloads of the microsoft site wont let me use anything but IE and i need to know how to fix the problem so i can correct an error in my zune program

perhaps firefox has set itself as your default browser, have a look in the "tools,internet option, programs tab" and see if ie7 checks to see which is the default browser. (at least that's where it is in ie6)
