Hello!
I am having some troubles with IE7. I use Firefox for the most part, so I am unsure of when this problem even started, but whenever I try to go to certain sites, I find that I'm getting a message that says: "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site. Operation aborted" Also, my gmail loads in basic HTML view and I get a message at the top that says "For a better Gmail experience, use a fully supported browser." This hasn't REALLY been a HUGE thorn in my side as like I said, I use Firefox most of the time anyway. But today I decided to uninstall my Norton Security package provided to me by my ISP. When I went to redownload it VIA Firefox, it tells me that IE is the only supported browser. So I open IE and go to download it when I'm greeted with a captioning that says: Your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements necessary to complete the automated installation process. The minimum system requirements for Rogers Yahoo! Software Centre are listed. Windows XP and Vista (32 bit only) Windows 2000 Screen Resolution of 800x600 or higher 256 Colors or higher Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above Scripting and ActiveX Support Enabled Processor 300MHz Windows XP SP 2 is required for security products. Click here to download the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Click here to upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 2 This is most annoying as I HAVE IE7 but for whatever reason, something isn't recognizing this fact. I wouldn't care so much about not having IE, but as I stated above, I need it unfortunately to reinstall my Norton Security. If anyone out here has any ideas of how to fix this, it would be GREATLY appreciated. |
