have connection but can't connect
Running windows XP...... with a Direcway 4000 system...old school I know, but my boss is cheap. Both modem lights are lit...I have a definite connection to the internet. Good signal strength...no virus everythings been scanned for everything. Will not load Internet Explorer, or Microsoft, or anything. Im thinking its something in my settings that has mysteriously been changed...posssibly by the mouse that lives on my desk at night...Who knows. I have re-installed all of the direcway software, re done web set up..which wont go because it says I have no Internet connection. My Proxy server thing is off, Tried everything.... Because the sytem is the older one...No tech support available from the service provider because they change employees like they change socks. The newbie's are only trained on the new stuff...leaving oldies like me to fend for themselves. any Information someone could offer would be greatly appreceiated. Im desperate. Should be bald by late tomorrow to.
Thanks |
