out of memory on line 71 IE xp sp3

I am running windows xp service pack 3, Service pack downloaded a few weeks ago and the last few days I keep getting an error out of memory on line 71, I close the error message and things seem to work fine for the most part. There has been a few times where I was unable to connect to the internet on Internet Explorer 7, I redownloaded IE7 from microsoft, but am still having the same error message pop up..

I am running on vista too with IE7 and for the first time since buying my computer in march of 07 this message comes up while in Myspace out of memory at line: 7 what is that all about. My computer has been going very slow lately but it says I have 60%free(71.1G) in C drive and 40%(3.66G) free in recovery (the # are what are free). I am confused on that too. I lost a lot of space in C drive in a short period (15%)of time without downloading anything???? I have also had the problems where I would close out my internet and my internet windows would start flying back open at me?? weird huh..only on myspace, is this site my problem, I know b/c it was myspace home page on the windows coming up (have reported no answer?). Or my computer will just close down my internet completely all at once. My computer has also done improper shut down all by itself about 3xs now sometimes when I am not even on or near the computer (ie. bathroom):4-dont. I did a virus scan through McAfee that I pay for and it says I am all clean, huh, I am so puzzled. btw, I am running on an e-machine..please someone help!

try to disable IE browser add-ons.

out of memory means exactly that. Your probably running your OS with 1 gig of ram(hedied4uni) and (ogt92) you probably only got 512mb of ram and running websites takes up a small amount of ram (10mb)
please post specs of your computers

there we go, you are running at less than the recommended amount of memory for Vista. you might want to consider adding more RAM.

2 gigs of ram of ram for vista =

2 gigs of ram or less for vista =

512mb or more for XP =

512 mib of ram or less for XP =

my comp uses 1.4 gigs of ram out of my 4 gigs for my vista Home Premium
at the minimum

My problem is now fixed after going to Best Buy. I had 2 viruses and Adware called xpantivirus on my computer. I thought I was always very careful on the internet and not clicking on stuff I shouldn't but you can never be to safe in todays world. Well, that was my cause.

Specs on my computer, and I have had it for a couple years.. it just started doing this.
Compaq Presario O61, L2 cache size 512 kb, totatl physical memore 448 mb, Free physical memory 63 mb, Free Virtual memory 383mb, used hard drive, 16.846 gb, unused hard drive 92.855 gb, processor amd athalon xp 3200 2.199 ghz, I am aslo sticking a stack error, and I had a message pop up that said windows is freeing up virtual memory?

I am experiencing the same issue with my laptop. I just upgraded my HDD and am now having a great deal of difficulty with IE7. My OS configuration is the same (WinXP/SP3) and I am running a Toshiba Tecra S3 with the following specs:
Intel 1.8Ghz Mobile Centrino
1 Gig RAM
281GB Free Space
NVIDIA 6600 GeForce GO
Please assist.....

I am having the same problem but it occurs when I get on Facebook. It happens almost immediately. And then when I close the error message box, it just pops right back up. This makes my IE unusable. I am not able to open a new tab or close the page or anything. =( PLEASE HELP!
