Videos not playin IE7, work in Firefox?
I have just received a new PC with Vista. But have come across problems when trying to play videos (wmv, avi, and mpeg) in IE7. The browser always comes up with "page can not be displayed."
If I copy the same link and paste it into the firefox browser and video plays just fine. I have tried changing settings in IE (lowered security settings, enabled all active x) and it still would not play. I do not receive any prompts to install any active x controls or anything else for that matter. It seems that if the end of the web address contains a video extension, it will not play. But I can watch videos on sites like gametrails.com (which have their players on the page) Could anyone tell me why this would be happening? I am stumped. Thanks |
