Re: IE7 wont load any pages.

The other programs that need the internet, are they things like MSN and iTunes?

What Anti-Virus/Security software are you using?

Re: IE7 wont load any pages.

If you have paid for Norton 360 then i understand you not wanting to get rid of it and even if you decide you want to, it is not straightforward but it seems like you have to make the choice between that and all other protection. You can only have one instance of realtime protection from spyware running on your system.

I will continue to find solutions to your problem but in the meantime, please download this program,

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896653.aspx

Install it, run it and post a screenshot of the results.

How to post a screenshot

It may take more than one screenshot to show all processes, just repeat the steps for each one.

Re: IE7 wont load any pages.

Bit tired now, been up all night.

I can't see anything about realtime protection from any antispyware programs apart from symantec maybe, did you disable them already?

Will have another look later but you will get some friendly advice about the consequences of running stuff like Napster and Bitorrent when the hijack this guys get to you. If you are infected that is quite likely where you got it.

See you later Brian.

Regards, Dave.
