Disappearing Favorites Icons

I have been using Vista for some time now. Recently we got new computers. A laptop and a desk model. On our old machine, when we opened the favorites by clicking the gold star in the upper left of Explorer, we could choose our favorites either by recognizing the icon (after once having gone to the site), or reading the text.

With both new machines the same is true for a time, but for some reason the icons from the sites have started disappearing and leaving only the Explorer icon.

I think some cookies are also disappearing, as several times I have been returned to the first level of some online games. Most annoying!

Can anyone out there help me on this problem?

Clean TEMP files

Click Here to download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. Save it to your Desktop.

Go to your desktop and double click on ATF-Cleaner.exe.

Main

Under Main. Click Select All, then click Empty

If you use Firefox, click Firefox on the menu bar

Click on Select All, then click Empty
Note: If you want to keep your saved Passwords click No on the prompt.

If you use Opera, click Opera on the menu bar

Click on Select All, then click Empty
