Re: Administrator Acct not accessible

Hello MJ Strauss, Welcome to TSF!

Try powering up the computer from a 'Cold Start', while continually tapping the F8 Key.
In the "Safe Mode" Menu select the option "Last Known Good Configuration", and follow the on-screen prompts.

Post back with the outcome.

Kind Regards,

Re: Administrator Acct not accessible

Thanks,
But I still get the Internet Explorer Script Error. The only way to get out of it is to restart the computer.

Re: Administrator Acct not accessible [Moved from XP by chauffeur2]

It just says - An error has occurred in the script on this page. Then on the bottom it asks if I want to continue. There is no other information on the error page. I've tried to attach a word doc with a copy of the error message, hopefully I succeeded and it will give you a better idea of my problem. Thank you.

Re: Administrator Acct not accessible [Moved from XP by chauffeur2]

please do this

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/12/628499.aspx

if that fails:

System File checker: sfc/ scanow

**Note: You will need A Windows XP CD for this exercise**
  • Please insert the Windows XP CD into your CD/DVD drive.
  • Click Start, then Run
  • Copy and paste the command below into the text box (with out the quotation marks)
    sfc /scannow
  • Click Ok
  • During the scan you may be asked to Insert the A Windows XP CD, if this happens just click retry and let it do its thing.

Please post back with the results.
