Internet Explorer/ Start> Run Problem

k first

1) my RUn button on my start menu has completely vanished.. I don't remember seeing it after i reformatted my laptop. Is there any way to get it back?

2.) I'm using Mozilla(primary) and internet explorer for other things, programs such as windows live messenger requires internet explorer to open up the "e-mail" portion but it does not. Is there anyway to fix it so when I click to go to my e-mail (hotmail) it opens up in internet explorer? If not, is there a way to open it in mozilla?

Re: Internet Explorer/ Start> Run Problem

Ok, lets try this for a start: goto Start button.
Start > right click anywhere on the Start Menu > Properties
Properties popup window > select Start Menu > Customize
customize popup window > advanced tab > scroll down and find the checkbox for Run

hold down the the windows key (on your keyboard) => and press R => type in Notepad, press Ok.

Please copy everything from the quote below into Notepad

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\]
"NoRun"=-
Save this as fix.reg, Choose to 'Save type as' as All Files. Save it to your desktop.
It should look like this:
Double click on fix.reg & allow it to merge into the registry.
