Can t open HTML pages from HD
Win XP (SP) preinstalled with IE6 working well since about 2 years but without using any WWW access.
Starting IE 6 with off- and online HTML pages opens the program in the taskbar but refuses to open as window Upgrade to IE 7 didn t resolve the problem, but everything works well in protected mode Other efforts that didn t help: Resetting the IE to default, starting without add-ons, cleaning temp files, deinstalling antivirus software, deactivating firewall, host file seems OK with just the entry of the local host Firefox works well on and offline ... It seems strange that IE seems to read the page (gives its correct name in the taskbar) but cannot open the window. If I right mouse click on maximize nothing changes. THXs |
