splash screen

i have a splash sceen that comes up each time i start using my web browser and splashes up on the left top of screen and i dont get a chance to c what it is is there any way i can find out what this programe is i have installed it at some time while downloading somthing about speeding things up while web browsing can yous help please not sure if this is in the right section thank you
