Word viewer and disk full

Hi,

I am opening URLs like this one with IE 6 : http://iww.intranet.acme.com/p320users/docs/fr/test.doc

When I open an URL with a doc extension, the word viewer starts, and if I try to save the document, I get the message : "disk is full. Free up disk space etc."
I have at least 20 Gb available on my disk.

What I can see, is that there are two ways to open a doc file from an URL :

1. Internet explorer starts a word viewer and when you try to save as locally, you get the "disque full" message

2. Internet explorer starts MS Word and the document can be saved.

Do you know why and when IE starts the word viewer when opening the doc file from an URL?

Do you know why and when IE starts Word 2000 when opening the doc file from an URL?

Thanks in advance for your help.
