Pages just won't load. Help.

A few days ago, I had spyware that turned my entire desktop wallpaper blue with a box in the middle that said "warning syware detected"
I downloaded spyware doctor and a few other anti-virus programs and now its gone.
However, my IE is now VERY SLOW.
Actually, pages won't even load. For example, it lets me go on myspace, but won't let me log in. The page just won't load.
I don't know how to fix this. Maybe the virus is still in my computer or something.

I really don't know much about computers, and this is my first time posting here.

But i really need this computer for homework and such.

Anyone know what's happening?
