Web links on desktop do not open
I have windows xp, IE7, my icons on my desktop which are links to websites will not open, you click on them and the hour glass comes up for a split second and then nothing. On the option when I click make Internet Explorer my default, I click on it and if I go right back to it, it shows it unclicked. Please help

right click the icon, click on properties, copy and paste the url in your browser and see if it will open.

I have the same problem. Wxp-IE7. I just did a restore from backup (IBM Rescue and Recovery on a Lenovo z61t). Everything appears to be OK. I upgraded from IE6 to 7 after installing SP3. Did not try any links before upgrading. I can copy the link and paste into a new browser and it works. If I make a new link it does not work.
