Internet cutting off after standby
Hi to all,
Bit of a weird problem. I can connect to the internet when I start my laptop (IE 7) however if it goes into standby and I then turn it on again it wont display a webpage (the internet still shows as connected though). Instead an error message that I can only describe as res://IEFRAME.dll/dnserrordiagoff.htm shows up on the bottom left corner of the page before it comes up blank. This is so frustrating - I have to reboot everytime to use the internet when this happens. Please can some one help (I'm using netgear wireless router and zonealarm for firewall) Windows XP Home. |

Re: Internet cutting off after standby
It might be the network card not waking up after sleep mode. Try going into the device manager, go to your network card, right click it and hit Properties, go to the power management tab and uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
See if that helps. |
