All Search Engines Do Not Work

Internet explorer 7 works on my windows xp but when i go to a search engine and type in a a search it gives me the error message "Internet has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Also i can load websites except when i type in this site it takes me to google and freezes so i cant take the 5 steps. Any help would be great.

you can download the files needed for the five step program on another computer and move it to the computer you are having problems with to run them

I completed the 5 steps. I'm having the same problem. Any suggestions?

actually you have not completed the five steps since you did not post a log in the hijackthis section. Please go through all the steps and follow the instructions closely. If for some reason you cannot complete a step, make note of it and when you post the log, let them know.
