attaching mp3's to e-mail

I can't attach mp3's to email messages; the computer hangs up and never finishes attaching them - and these aren't files that are too big, so I suspect some kind of filter??? Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I usually use g-mail, but I haven't been able to attach mp3's with hotmail or yahoo mail either...

Kind of strange...I use gmail for years and never had any rejections whatsoever.
(Perhaps that's s/th new since I haven't send mp3s for a while now)
Try to just pack them into any archive ( ZIP, 7z, RAR etc.) perhaps even with a password set and try if that bypasses the filetype check ;)

or try a smaller mp3 (in case your attachment is larger than what gmail allows)
