IE. Scripts are usually safe.....

This window keeps popping up all the time on my pc and is very annoying. It says"Scripts are usually safe. Do you want to allow scripts to run? Yes or No. How do I get this to go away? I've tried going into IE options but it's still here. Anymore suggestions? Thanks to all of you who answer my cry for help. You can email me if you wish at

hi cgsr76,

check this in IE:
select Tools > Internet Options > Security > Local Intranet, click Custom Level button

Go down to Scripting and see “Active Scripting” if ENABLED.

I tried that and it didn't work. Anymore suggestions? I welcome all you have..what do you think of Mozilla Firefox? Thanks for trying to help me.

Firefox is good. in fact that's the only one i use.

I have two links that can help.

a) The Explorer settings window - better to provide print screen. That window can be confusing. You can find a print screen of what needs to be set here: Scripts are usually safe. Do you want to allow scripts to run? (Maxi-Pedia website)

b) If the above does not help, then you might want to check if you are infested with the JS/Kak@M virus - see here for more details: JS/Kak@M (McAfee website)
