Operation Timeout...
Hi, first off I guess I need to give as much information about everything so you can draw your own conclusions with understanding the entire situation.
I am an Administrator on a discussion board hosted by Boardnation. They recently went through a server change and some upgrading. Once they moved our site, most of the members were getting the old 404 error message but that was short lived. Some of the members are on dial-up, one on RoadRunner and the rest on DSL such as myself. The guy on RR had a little trouble for a couple of days where it would take roughly 15 minutes for the site to open and load. That soon straightened itself out also. Now, everyone can access the board(s) with no problem with one exception. I am that exception…….I cannot access anything related to Boardnation period. I get an “operation timed out….” Error message. I am running XP pro and Mozilla Firefox. I have tried accessing Boardnation stuff through Mozilla, IE6, Opera, Netscape and maybe one other. I have maxed out all the settings for timeout times and the sort in each browser that I tried. I even manipulated the settings in my MS configuration. I’ve cleaned out all cache and cookies several times over but yet nothing will allow me to access these Boardnation sites. It would almost seem that I am “stuck” in the old database or something. It seems I’ve ran into something similar before (years ago) but the problem was short lived. This has been going on for over a week now and I’m getting a little frustrated. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance. |
