[SOLVED] Can only use internet explorer

Sorry to beg for help on my first post, but i have not been able to find a solution to my problem Anywhere

Now, my problem is this: My internet explorer works perfectly. but, any other connection to the internet through any other software will Not work. Mozillia firefox, that wierd new one by itunes, any game that connects to a server without opening explorer, any anti-virus software cant auto-update, or update on command. I have downloaded anti-virus programs, but since they cant auto-update, few are able to be completly up-to-date. I have tried turning off all my anti-virus software, and that dosent work. and anything that works through internet explorer works Perfectly.

I am using Windows XP home edition.
i have Panda IS Antivirus Software, Windows defender, and Ad-adware antivirus softwares. I am using a Linksys WRT150N router, and i am completly stumped. please help

What firewall do you have?

Just manged to fix it. apparently, my anti-virus firewall got bugged. deleted it, all good.
