Backgrounds on web pages [Moved from XP]

I hope some body can help me!!!

I am not able to see ANY backgrounds on web pages i.e. when on myspace i can't see people's layouts properly - i can see text & pics but no backgrounds. This affects the layout of the page also.
My microsoft programes have also reverted back to an "old school" style; all the internal icons are not clear crisp pictures; they're dotted and washed out looking. Almost like when a computer restarts itself in safe mode.

It's nothing serious but it's really annoying and i've tried everything to my knowledge to fix it. Internet Options: Changing the security tab, chaning the firewall settings and also simply reseting the internet settings, all to no avail.

Fingers crossed that some body can help me out here :o)

What version of IE do you have?

Do you have these problems in any other browsers? Please try one of the below (both are free):

Firefox
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Opera
http://www.opera.com/

Welcome to TSF....

Since the pixtles are wrong I would try upgrading the Video card drivers to a newer version and after that set the resolution to a higher resolution and that should solve the problem.
