Re: IE 7 how can I get rid of the command bar, and put the menu on top?

http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/tweaks.asp

http://www.tech-weekly.com/2007/12/b...et-rid-of.html

these sites seem to have fixes what do you think?

If I wanted to use ie 6 like my 98 se cp how would I do that? will my cp be faster with 6? what are the pros and cons of both? I would like to gain some screen space which is lost with ie 7.Thanks

Are the toolbars locked? Right-click on the t/bars and unselect Lock the toolbars.

Click and drag whatever bars where ever.

Then right click on command bar -> customize command bar -> Add or remove commands

Yea I would say they would work.

Just you need to be aware that, there is no 100% garentee it will work.

Also I would reccommend you doing this first, before doing any weaking:

**Back up your registry before editing** (Click the green link)

Re: IE 7 how can I get rid of the command bar, and put the menu on top?

Is there a way to check if I installed it over IE 6, I had some one load XP back into the CP and IE 7 was what was there when I got it back. If I do not have it is there a way to get it? thanks

Re: IE 7 how can I get rid of the command bar, and put the menu on top?

Is it listed under Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel?

IE is part of the OS and can't be uninstalled in its own right - but if it was an "update" of IE6 it can be uninstalled and auto revert to IE6.

If you uninstall IE7, it will revert back to IE6
