web page won't display with ie

I have windows xp sp2 when I try to open web page with ie7 get a message ( web page can't be displayed ) I also use foxfire and can display web pages fine. but I need ie so I can update .what can I do to get ie to work.

Is it all webpages or just some?

What firewall do you have?

all web pages norton firewall

try going into tools, internet options, and delete your temporary internet files.

also go to advance and click on restore all defaults
