http file downloads finishing prematurely?
I have Vista Home Premium Clean install on a Compaq Presario C700 Laptop. I have all the updates for internet explorer and windows. Phishing Filter is on. As well as all the default settings for IE. I've noticed that when I'm downloading a large usually 50MB or larger file, from an http server that the download will finish prematurely, even though the download window will say that it is complete. There is nothing going on while it is downloading(in other words I'm not doing anything) I haven't tried ftp, because the network here does not permit ftp downloads. But I have tried both hard wire and wireless connections to see if there is a difference...Any Idea's? If I need large files I have to use a download manager...

Re: http file downloads finishing prematurely?
Thank you! I really appreciate that, I hope I can contribute here as well! I looked through my Temporary Internet Files, and I didn't see any of the copies of the files there. I usually set the download location to my desktop, so it doesn't look like it.

Have a look here and see if that helps:

Re: http file downloads finishing prematurely?
Hmmmm, it seems that KB is for IIS. But, hopefully it is just the internet system here. I'll try some other places and see what happens, I have some friends with Cable and DSL.
