Invisible IE Startup Window
Hello, I have ran out of ideas and I need help, I hope this is the right place to post this.
Once I turn my computer on, there is a completely invisible IE window that sometimes resides on the top left corner of my monitor. I can tell that it is an IE window because I can right click it and see the page properties. This window has no name and has a generic window icon in the Alt-Tab list. It "stays-on-top" of all windows. It takes up a small spot on the top left of my screen or sometimes it wouldn't be anywhere on my screen. It's 100% invisible/transparent It tried to access 3 websites because I can right click it and click "back" or "forward" I have copied down the urls by looking at the page's properties.
This window doesn't seem to be in any of the process lists, but I've tried researching this myself and read that it was in the svchost.exe. It got terminated when I "End task" the right scvhost.exe, the window would then vanish after it has ended and no longer seen in the Alt-tab list. |

Re: Invisible IE Startup Window
Hello and welcome to TSF
![]() To me it sounds like a virus infection I would recommend that you go here; read and follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, to here. (Just click on the coloured links.) Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can. Good luck ![]() Please also remember DO NOT post your logs in this thread, please start a new thread here. (Just click on the coloured link.) and post the logs. |
