IEXPLORE.EXE will not close

When I have been on the internet for a while and try to go to a new link, it will not allow me to do so. I can close the actual page, but I notice that in Task Manager iexplore.exe does not close, even when I hit end process. The only way to access the internet is to manually shut down my computer; it wont restart when I attempt to do so.

Re: IEXPLORE.EXE will not close

I have SpyDoctor, Spybot search and destroy, and CC cleaner. My browser is Internet explorer 7 but just yesterday I switched to Mozilla Firefox because of the problems I encountered with IE. I noticed that when I turn my computer on, there is a pop-up that says Intel PRO set wireless registry service has stopped working and was closed. I'm not sure if that is significant. Also, after my computer resumes from sleep mode, I connect to the internet but about 30 seconds later it loses the connection then re-establishes. I have a Netgear wireless router. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Re: IEXPLORE.EXE will not close

you might have a virus

I would recommend that you go here; read and follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, to here. (Just click on the coloured links.)

Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can.

Good luck

Please also remember DO NOT post your logs in this thread, please start a new thread here. (Just click on the coloured link.) and post the logs.
