Page cannot be displayed

my internet explorer is unable to display any web site, dont know why as this problem only occurs when my account is open, there are no problems with any other accounts so i know its not a problem with the line or router. Any ideas on how to fix it

In any event, if I don't return to check on this thread.
If you have Windows XP SP2 or IE 7.0, click on tool>options>Programs>Manage add-ons and turn off everything that isn't needed and see how that does you. It sounds like a browser issue and everytime I've ran into this issue, it has always been a bad mod/plugin.

Re: Page cannot be displayed

No, the guys said his page can't be displayed.

Alright, Kevin, you can pretty much turn off everything and turn them back on, one by one until you find the troubled application. Usually, you can leave your javascripts, flash players, media players (like quicktime) on.
Most of the time when someone has this problem it is one of these add-ons that is causing the problems. The other times, they aren't connected to the net :-P

I'd start by turning off all the tool bars and seeing what results you get there, if it works, than turn them on one by one in different orders to see which one failed (or you can just leave them all off if you want) and reinstall the bad one if you really like it.
Else turn off the virus scans plug-ins (Keep in mind that you'll see them grouped up by a certain group, like symtec (or how ever it is spelled) is Norton's and I can't remember if McAfee has a different group association). If that works, reinstall your anti-virus or repair it.
Else turn off plug-ins with no publisher such as AIM, Research, One Note, ect. If that works, like every other event, keep it off or reinstall it.
Else - I think you get the idea.
