[SOLVED] New Tabs Vs. New Screen
Hi,
Im running IE7 WINxp SP2 For some reason whenever I click on a link in this forum while using IE it always opens in a new window. I would rather it opened in a new tab. I have my internet options set to open links in "a new tab in current window". If I use firefox it usualy opens links in a new tab, although sometimes in the same window. does this have anything to do with the way the link is written (target=blank etc...)? Zevy |

Re: New Tabs Vs. New Screen
click on tools, internet options, then under the general tab, click on tab settings and make sure you have popups in new tab and open links in new tab selected.

Re: New Tabs Vs. New Screen
Hi,
Thanks for responding, setting "pop-ups" in a new tab did the trick. @go the power, I was searching some IE7 blogs and came across a thread that seemed to imply that depending on how the link is written determines how it will open; new screen, new tab, same screen, etc... I haven't checked elsewhere but the links here at TSF are not written with these commands. that pretty much sums up my research on this matter. Not a whole lot ![]() Zevy |
