internet explorer freezes

hi i got a new gateway laptop for christmas. it came with windows vista loaded on it. sometimes when i am online my ineternet explorer freezes and it will finally restart it self after i close it out but then sometimes i cant get back to the internet with ot having to restart my laptop.does anyone know why this is going on and how to fix it please help.thank you

Hello and welcome to TSF

Does it still freeze if you do this:

Click Start, All programs, Accessories, System tools and click on Internet Explore (No Addons)

hi checked what you asked me to and it said it was currently running with no add ons.so i didnt change anything.

that message is normal. But does IE still freeeze when you run it with no add-ons?
