Incredibly Strange Connection Problems
I've been having a RATHER strange connection problem. My internet connection seems absolutely fine. I can use my web browser just fine and visit sites (obvious as I'm posting this) and do all that, however, when it comes to AIM and other programs like City of Heroes or Unreal 2K4, the connection is ridiculously unstable. If I try to play these games or IM someone I can, but for a limited amoutn of time, then it disconnects, and in the case of AIM, reconnects. It's great that I can check websites and all but not being able to play games online or talk to people via AIM or other programs is fairly frustrating. I don''t think it's the modem seeing as I can surf the web just fine. I ran hijack this and fixed whatever problems were on there, ran ad-aware, various other spy-ware scanners and more. Does anyone have ANY idea what could be causing this or what I could try doing? My connection is provided by comcast and I've also got a router if that has anythign to do with it. :/ If you need any more info I'll post it. Thanks.

Umm...ok. These games, you play them online right? Is it a network game or just a game that you play off a website for example...miniclip.com but bigger games! ?
If it's off a website; are they off the same website? If so try a different one. If its totally different you may want to try contacting people that have something to do with the game, and contact someone to do with AIM (I'm not really familiar with AIM, so can't help much on that). If thay come back with any information, for example the server they run off, try see if there's anything similar in them, and look in their source codes, might be something similar in that. Come back with some information and i can see what i can do. Hope i've been a help
