image downloading problem

Hi,

I wonder if you can help me.

The last few days I've had a strange problem with Internet Explorer on Windows 98 2nd ed.

For some reason it isn't downloading images anymore, just the backgrounds and the text, no pictures. Sometimes, when I've just connected, it might download one or two images on a site and then it just stops and the rest of the page downloads and there's just placeholders instead of the rest of the images.

Say I do a Google image search, on the first page one or two pictures might download at the top and the rest stay as placeholders and in the status bar it says, '24 items remaining' but the status bar reaches the end and it just stops. If I then click on the next page, no images download, just empty placeholders. (Sorry if that was too much detail :) )

Would appreciate your help.

Just want to double check, did you disable images in Internet Explorer?
