Hi all ,
Sorry do not mean to be rude to anyone but i have not filled out my profile asyet. I will get round to it soon as. Anyway is there away of permanatley blocking an URL I hope i have got the wording right. I am trying to stop ie7 from going to a website even if you type the address into the address bar.I have put the url in to my restricted sites under tools/internet options/security But it is still acessible. Is there any otherway to do this. I appologise in advance if i have missed something really simple.I am a very newbie newbie with no one to guide me, it's all trial and error, well mostly error and error lol . Thanks Penrick |

Re: IE7, Is it possible to block a bad URL
Hi and welcome to TSF.
Yes there is. Find the file Hosts in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. Open this with notepad and add at the end 127.0.0.1 badsite where badsite is the URL of the site you want to block.
