Internet Explorer not working
Hi,
I previously had major spyware issues that were preventing me from using IE. The expert on the Tech and Security forum helped me fix it a few days ago. Thereafter, my IE was acting normal for a day but now it won't connect at all. I have DSL through SBC, so my homepage should be dsl.sbc.yahoo.com, But it won't go there at all. The page stays blank, and the toolbar (where you type in internet addresses) keeps blinking, I can't go to any page, and my cursor isn't allowing me to erase an internet address to type in a new one. I put the cursor at the end of the address and it jumps back to the front. I'm using Netscape now, but my cursor is even flashing as I type this. Does this make any sense? Could it be from the last thing Security had me delete-- "delete.reg." Or possibly one of the other things they had me delete? I emailed them and they said my system log looked clean, and that I should post a thread here. OR, could all this just be DSL internet acting stupid? Thank you so much! |

I was one of the experts working on your log. The fixes I gave you should have no impact on your internet connection. It must be something new that's spawning out of no where. I assume that you were fine when you did all the fixes?
Post a new log file here. Someone (or I) will review it again to make sure nothing new came up these two days. The delete.reg is a file I created. It was used to remove a certain registry entry that contains the text "You have spyware.....".
