Cry [SOLVED] IE7 updated from IE6. Toolbars are black!

Since updating to IE7 from IE6, none of my toolbars display correctly. They are black, but when the mouse hovers over them they will diplay the tool icons, but when I click on an icon, and the menu drops down, NOTHING WORKS IN THOSE MENUS!
Can anyone help to get my toolbars back to normal and working. Many thanks.

Hello and Welcome to TSF

Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove IE7
Reboot and reinstall, it sounds as if you had a bad installation.

Re: IE7 updated from IE6. Toolbars are black!

Hi Geekgirl,

Thanks for reply. I do not have IE7 in my Add/Remove list? Black toolbars are driving me crazy. I did read that there was a Registry entry that you could change to put toolbars back to normal. Anyone know what it is?

Valerie

Click Start => Run, copy and paste this command into the run box:

%windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe

Click Ok.

Then download IE7 again, and install it.

Re: IE7 updated from IE6. Toolbars are black!

Hi Go The Power,
Didn't need to re-install IE7. Found out I had Windowblinds theme on, and when I cancelled that, my toolbars went back to normal.
Many Thanks,
Valerie
