Re: IE7 won't connect to any sites after the latest Windows Update [KB942615]
Frank4d,
This hotfix is for IE6, not IE7. I have the same problem as matthew2777, running IE7 and WinXP SP2. I have uninstalled IE7, then updated IE6 with KB942615 and KB946627. Once IE6 was running okay, I updated to IE7 ...and I was right back to where I began! "Cannot display page... etc". Once this happens neither MS OneCare, nor MS Update can contact the Net either, so you're screwed until you uninstall IE7 again. I've also tried the registry hack, with no benefit. I've uninstalled IE6, again, and 'hidden' update KB942615, and switched to Firefox. This issue is NOT resolved! Art |
