typing www in URL box

I just updated to Explorer 7.0. I can no longer enter addresses into the URL box without putting the 'www' first as I used to on the older version.

I.E. I used to just put ford.com and it would go to the web site. Now it doesn't find the web site unless I type www.ford.com.

TIA

KS

Re: typing www in URL box

In Internet Options, Advanced - the "use Inline Autocomplete" is already checked.
In Internet Options, Content - "Auto complete Settings" all 3 options are already checked.

Is the "turn on auto complete" you are referring to different from either of these 2 options I already have turned on?
