How can I block a site on my brother's computer?
I'm afraid that if he continues to download wrestling moves from a russian site (the domain ends in a .ru suffix) that my Mom will get in trouble (the broadband is under her account) if "they find us".
If you want more details, then PM me, but what is the easiest way to block access to a site? BTW, I'm using SP2's built in firewall. |

In XP you can go to the security settings in IE and you should see a button to click on called restricted sites. Enter the URL in there and that site will become restricted.
You can also set up a password on IE settings so that restricted sites can not be removed except by the administrator. |

So this is your Brothers computer? You should have your Mother involved in what you are doing for the sake of keeping peace in the family. As far as getting into trouble over what's on the computer, if the content doesn't include nudity of persons under the age of 18, and no copyrighted material, I wouldn't expect the authorities to give it any attention.
If it is something you must do something about, and your internet connection involves a router, then as router administrator you or your Mom, could selectively block any necessary IP addresses using the router's firewall depending on the router used. Need more info if this is the case.

The router I have (I've been told) doesn't have a firewall. |

If it's a TV feed but not pirated "pay per view" I wouldn't be too concerned. Don't see any legal issues so long as the material is for his own viewing and is not publicly displayed, or copied and sold.
