IE is changing my ICONS, how do I stop it?

I just changed my default browser from Netscape to IE. (It made it easier to use shortcuts to go to certain sites that don't work with N/S). Anyway, what's happening is when I use a desktop shortcut to go to a web site, the desktop icon is replaced by the web site's icon.... the one to the left of the url in the browser. I want to use my own icons. How to I stop IE from replacing the icon I want?

Quit Looking! I found the answer in a Microsoft forum. This is either a bug or feature in IE7. The work around is to check "Read Only" in the shortcut's properties.
