Problems with IE7

hy i don't know if i need to start a new thread but i have the same problem.Ie not working ,firefox is working perfect ,and in addition i cannot connect to yahoo messenger which i unninstalled it,now.if i reinstall i still cant ,i tryied to install the beta but this one will not even connect to yahoo servers to download the files needed for installation. also tell me please if i need to start a new thread and delete the post if so.i also disabled the firewall,delete cookies,but nothing.when ie opens and it tries connect to my home page(google)it appears Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address. I cannot conect nowher with ie i tried on other pages but i couldn"t.
.I did a malware scanner,i have prevx free scanner,avira premium,comodo firewall.All clean as far as this tools can tell. Since i see other have this issue can it be a new virus? i don't want to sound paranoid but this is at least strange as far i can tell
