IE 6.0 issues

Please help!!

I'm running win xp professional, recently I did some updates and now when I access IE periodically, more often then not I get the dreaded "page can not be displayed". But when I click refresh or go, the page usually comes up, I may have to refresh it a few times. It's more of a convenience issue then anything, but at the same time my browser should not be acting like this. I have not uninstalled and reinstalled but I have done updates and that didn't seem to do anything.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance,

Hello there, welcome to TSF

Please go into Windows Explorer, click on C:\ > File > New Folder and call it HJK, or another name of your choice. Go to this site and download Hijack This. Install the program into the folder you created then run it. Click Scan. Save the log file to Notepad, then copy and post it in the Hijack This Security Anti virus forum and one of the Analysts will assist you. Make sure to include the System information at the top of the log as well.
