Can longer connect to AOL
I'm new to this forum and definitely technically challenged so please bear with me.
Up until today I could connect to AOL without a problem or "auto-fix" would do the trick. Today, I can only connect to AOL if I disable Norton first. AOL advised me to call Norton Anti-V and ask them to re-configure. Norton wants over $3 per minute so I opted not to call. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem myself? If I leave Norton disabled, am I going to get bombarded with viruses? Thanks in advance, M |

It is probably the Norton Firewall or Internet Security. Check the settings and make sure to allow AOL to connect to port 5190 (if this is broadband) or that AOL.exe is able to connect to the internet.

If that doesn't work, dump Internet Security. It's not worth having, especially with programs like ZoneAlarm (http://zonelabs.com) and AVG Antivirus free edition (http://grisoft.com) out there for free.
