Can't access favorite sites

Hi!

I'm new here, so I hope I'm doing this right.

I can't seem to access two of my favorite sites: ancestry.com and rootsweb.com. These two sites were fine at first for about two years or so, then little by little they became more difficult to access until I now can't get there at all. We've cleared caches, cookies, history, uninstalled security, etc., but to no avail. When attempting to access ancestry.com, I get a "connection refused" message from my browser. I get the same message from rootsweb.com.

We have one main computer and two other desktop computers in the house, along with a laptop and a PDA. I can't access these two sites from this main computer, but I can access them from the other computers in the house that run wireless on this main computer.

It seems that the problem is localized to this one computer. Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to solve this issue? It's really starting to bug me

Could be firewall or anti virus program.
